Big Brothers Big Sisters is the oldest, largest, and most effective youth mentoring organization in the United States. We have been the leader in one-to-one youth mentoring for more than a century, developing positive relationships that have a direct impact on the lives of young people. Big Brothers Big Sisters serves children, age 5-18, across the country. Incorporated in 1982, Big Brothers Big Sisters of North Alabama (BBBSNA) currently serves children primarily in Madison County.

Our vision is that all children achieve success in life.

The mission of Big Brothers Big Sisters if to provide children facing adversity with strong and enduring, professional-supported one-to-one relationships that change their lives for the better, forever.

We partner with parents/guardians, volunteers, and others in the community and hold ourselves accountable for each child in our program achieving:

·        Higher aspirations, greater confidence and better relationships

·        Avoidance of risky behaviors

·        Educational success

Big Brothers Big Sisters provides youth mentoring services primarily through two core programs: community-based and school-based mentoring.
