Bobby is a magnet to trouble  or more than likely...trouble finds him.  His 35 years combined experience in the US Army and the corporate world as a leader and seasoned project/program manager has enabled him to finesse his skill set in change management. He coaches and mentors leaders and managers at all levels on how to make the transition from “old to new”, whether they realize it or not.

His change management experiences includes developing the Army’s compliance to investigative standards when dealing with Title 10, U.S.C. Section 1056, Military Whistleblower Reprisal at the Army level.  This change process enabled the Army to meet the standards of WB Reprisal law and provide protection to those individual  impacted by the current law.  Also, Bobby spent three years working at the Secretary of the Army Office, Pentagon, where he was the program manager of a team who initially developed the foundation of the Army’s Wounded Warrior program that included  proper medical coverage, extensive administrative care, and establish a bona fide chain of command for all wounded and injured Soldiers, regardless of status, e.g., active duty, Army National Guard, Army Reserve.

Bobby holds a MBA in Management, Brenau University, and is a certified Change Management Advanced Practitioner (CMAP), Georgetown University.  Nomadic in nature, Bobby has lived  and survived change in Europe, Far-East, Middle East and throughout the United States. He currently functions as a Program Manager in Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) and attempts to show how change can benefit his DoD client  and enable them to function reliably and more cost effective.

Paulette Risher is the Principal for Learning for the Journey, LLC, a boutique management consulting practice dedicated to the proposition that organizational success with individual well-being is a realistic aspiration.  Learning for the Journeyworks with leaders, teams, and individuals to facilitate understanding, planning, change management, and ultimately improved outcomes for both the organization and the human beings that hold the keys to success.  The Learning for the Journey team works to counter the individual and collective history, habit, culture, broken processes, failed and disjointed change efforts, erratic communications, uncertain decision authority, unclear performance standards, lack of training, and apparent lack of concern for people, which often short circuit success.

Paulette is a retired Major General (USAR) who has extensive experience in the military, corporate and consulting environments.  She created Learning for the Journey, LLCto provide a tailored suite of approaches to address unique organizational and human challenges. Drawing from the fields of organizational psychology, program management, adult learning, and military operations, we employ the tools and techniques you need - but without "gold plating" them.  Yes, we use the language of professional consulting and academia, but we also understand that at the end of the day it is the sustainable results that matter.
